the great gatsby

yesterday i went to see The Great Gatsby. i love love love this book and have been really impatient about the film coming out. the Ritzy cinema in Brixton (south London) is part of the Picturehouse chain, beautiful cinemas that show more than just mainstream movies (foreign, arthouse, indie…). if you’re not a Baz Luhrmann fan you might find The Great Gatsby a bit madly colourful (part of the reason i didn’t much like Moulin Rouge, but i loved Romeo & Juliet… maybe its’ a Leo thing), but he did a great job with the adaptation of this book. i don’t want to give anything away so here are a few photos of the cinema. Oh and all the staff were dressed in 1920s gear, cute flapper dresses and fabulous headbands! ritzy cinema brixton in the bar party
